Dollar trades in lower 96-yen zone in early Tokyo deals

TOKYO, March 11 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar traded at the lower 96 yen level early Monday in Tokyo.

At 9 a.m., the dollar was quoted at 96.19-20 yen compared with 95.93-96.03 yen in New York and 95.40-41 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. Friday.

The euro fetched 1.2983-2991 dollars and 124.91-94 yen against 1.3000-3010 dollar and 124.72-82 yen in New York and 1.3087-3088 dollars and 124.85-89 yen in Tokyo late Friday afternoon.
