7 killed by armed men in northern Syria

DAMASCUS, July 26 (Xinhua) -- Armed groups killed seven people in Syria's northern province of al-Hasaka on Friday, the pro- government Sham FM radio reported.

The militants committed a massacre in the town of Makbara, the report said, giving no further details.

A day ago, a series of deadly explosions rocked the crisis- stricken country, leaving at least 24 people dead.

The UN recently said over 100,000 people have been killed in the 28-month-old Syrian conflict.
