MOSCOW, July 4 (Xinhua) -- Russia Thursday called on all political forces in Egypt to exercise restraint and avoid violence.
"We find it important that all political forces in Egypt will show restraint and will be guided by the top national interests in their actions," the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
It urged the relative sides to "confirm the intention to settle ripen political and socioeconomic problems in the democratic framework without violence."
The ministry also recommended Russian citizens in Egypt to stay away from areas of mass protests and social tensions.
Russian Federal Tourism Agency (Rostourism) would send its representative to Egypt to assess the situation in that country, the Itar-Tass news agency quoted the agency's head Alexander Radkov as saying.
Confirming the situation in resort areas was calm, Radkov said "we shall watch the situation, which is changing rapidly."
Egypt's armed forces removed Mohamed Morsi from the presidential post on Wednesday. Chairman of the Egyptian Supreme Constitutional Court Adli Mansour was sworn in as interim president Thursday until a new one is elected.
