President of FBiH arrested over bribes

SARAJEVO, April 26 (Xinhua) -- Zivko Budimir, President of Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH), was arrested on Friday over accepting bribes for pardons, said prosecutors.

Acting on orders of the Court and the Prosecutor's office, members of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) carried out the operations to arrest Budimir, according to an announcement by the Proscutor's office.

SIPA performs certain investigative activities in the building of the Presidency of FBiH in Sarajevo and the building of the Federal Government in Mostar, it said.

FBiH is one of the two entities of BiH, and the other entity is Republika Srpska (RS).
