Masked gunmen rob 300,000 euros in Paris daytime attack: media

PARIS, April 18 (Xinhua) -- A daytime attack on a unmarked vehicle transporting precious metals was attacked on Thursday with three robbers managing to loot 300,000 euros (about 393,000 U.S. dollars), local media reported.

Three masked gumen threatened with weapons the two security guards and hold up part of the transported fund mainly composed of jewelry, the report said.

Two of the robbers fled on scooter while their vehicle was found burnt near the dare attack's scene, it added.

Police have started investigation and chase of the perpetrators. (1 euro = 1.31 U.S. dollar)
