14 injured as bus falls into ditch in Ukraine

KIEV, April 15 (Xinhua) -- At least 14 people were injured when a tourist bus carrying 27 passengers fell into a ditch early Monday in central Ukraine.

The bus, en route from western Zakarpattya region to eastern Dnepropetrovsk city, veered off the road and overturned into the roadside ditch about 1:15 a.m. local time( 2215 GMT Sunday), the State Service for Emergencies said.

Fourteen injured passengers, including five in serious conditions, have been sent to local hospitals, it said.

The accident was being investigated. Police suspect it was caused by driver's fault.
