The Military Academy of Medical Sciences (MAMS) of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) and the PLA Center for Disease Prevention and Control held a training class on the techniques for the detection of H7N9 avian influenza virus on the morning of April 8, 2013. Technicians from disease prevention and control organizations of major units of the PLA attended the training class.
