Indonesian VP to visit South Korea

JAKARTA, Feb. 22 (Xinhua) -- Indonesian Vice President Boediono is to visit South Korea from Feb. 23 to Feb. 26 to take part in the inauguration of South Korean new President Park Geun-hye, official said here on Friday.

Vice President Boediono was to have a bilateral meeting with Park on February 26, said Yopie Hidayat, Indonesian vice presidential spokesman.

"The vice president would invite South Korean investors to invest in Indonesia, which can boost competitiveness and the economies of the two countries," Hidayat was quoted by Investor online as saying.

Vice President Boediono was also to meet with some leading businessmen in South Korea.

The meeting with South Korean president is also expected to boost bilateral ties of the two countries.
