4.8-magnitude quake jolts Heyuan in S China's Guangdong

A 4.8-magnitude quake jolted Heyuan City in Guangdong Province at 11:34 a.m. Friday (Beijing Time), according to the China Earthquake Networks Center. The epicenter, with a depth of 11 km, was monitored at 23.9 degrees north latitude and 114.5 degrees east longitude, the center said. Affected by the earthquake, most trains here were delayed and many passengers were detained at the railway station. (Xinhua/Tan Xingfu)
