Brief introduction: Located in a mountainous area in the subtropical zone, Lahu people mainly inhabit in Lancang County in the southern part of Yunnan Province. The word "Lahu" comes from the Lahu language with "La" referring to the tiger and "hu" to the barbeque, hence the nickname "a nationality hunting for tigers" for Lahu Nationality in history. Lahu Folk Custom Park is aimed to present Lahu history, culture, art and traditions. The whole park takes up over 300 mu, presenting a glorious scenery with 100 mu of water body, the dense vegetation, beautiful lakes and clear water. It is not only a wonderful place of fitness and recreation for people to relax on holidays, but also a classic tourist spot in Lancang and an excellent demonstration tourist spot jointly built by military and civilian. Its unique folk architecture and colorful folk cultural performance will easily refresh your knowledge on Lancang, Lahu people and Lahu culture.

The Revolutionary Martyrs Monument in the center of the park was built in memory of heroic martyrs who sacrificed their precious lives for the liberation of Lancang and defense of the borderland. The big playground near the reservoir in the park served as the parade ground of the former troops stationed in Lancang, which is now a best place for playing and gathering on holidays. Every holiday, such as the Spring Festival, Mid-autumn Festival and National Day, witnesses the gathering of tens of thousands of people on the playground, who would plunge into revelry. It is also an ideal place for urban residents to play spinning tops, fly kites and have a walk.
