6th "BFSU - WANGHUIDA CUP" Intellectual Property Moot Court Competition held in BFSU

Beijing, May 25 (People's Daily Online) From May 25 to May 26, the 6th "BFSU - WANGHUIDA CUP" Intellectual Property Moot Court Competition is held in Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU).

It is the one and only professional IP moot court in China of international standard, and the entire competition is conducted in English.

The distinguished judges of the competition are from renowned universities and research institutes such as Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), China University of Political Science and Law, St. Mary’s University and DePaul University from the USA.

13 teams from China and abroad took part in the competition: DePaul University (US), Bond University (Australia), Tsinghua University, China University of Political Science and Law, Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, East China University of Political Science and Law, China Foreign Affairs University, China Youth University for Political Sciences, Changchun University of Science and Technology, Xiangtan University, Beijing Institute of Technology, Soochow University and Beijing Foreign Studies University. The cases involve some challenging IP issues, such as design patent.

During the competition, students show their deep understanding of IP theories as well as fluent English skills. All team participants regard this competition as a good opportunity to learn from each other and to establish friendship with others.

The competition will last for two days, and the final result will be announced on May 26.
