The use of the fabrics tulle and organza inject some lightness to the day wear, with trousers and skirts floating to create a sensual feminine silhouette. The shimmering evening gowns were encrusted with Swarovski crystals, with black feather necklaces and high heels completing the outfits.
Designer Alexandre Vauthier approaches his work with almost mathematical reasoning - crafting clothes that cling strategically to women's bodies.
Vauthier displayed his extraordinary tailoring skills, effortlessly combining a sculpted look with softness. Strict black and white colors are mellowed by shades of blush and sky blue, and perfectly-cut jackets or corsets contrasted with short, silk skirts.
After the show, Vauthier confessed that the starting point for this collection was a recent motorcycle accident he was in. "... It was the first idea of the collection," he said. "Of course we are very far from this kind of thinking, you know?"
