Chinese observers are "magicians"

Most of the soldiers working in UN are the outstanding ones from the militaries of various countries. During the daily life and work, they only earn real respect from others by their toughly-tempered skills and prominent work.

According to the UN combat organization, G6 is a highly technical position in full charge of the maintenance, repair, and technical guidance of the communication-based electronic equipment in the barracks. It is equivalent to the "chief engineer." Chinese observers are the most popular candidates for G6.

In March when I went to the headquarters to participate in the G6 meeting, I found that Chinese people took up three (the highest being five) of the nine G6 positions in the mission area.

There was a popular saying in the mission area that: "Whenever the equipment or gear has a problem, go find the Chinese people and the problem will definitely be solved"! In those foreigners' words, "Chinese observers are all 'magicians'!" Thanks to their professionalism, wisdom, diligence and friendliness, Chinese observers have become the most popular group in the mission area.

On December 19, 2012, wearing two United Nations Peace Medals and holding an honorary certificate in hand, I boarded the plane to fly back to my motherland.
