Art exhibition is the key link connecting creation, critique and commercial trades of contemporary art and the main body of 798 Art District is the cultural production of exhibition. Undoubtedly, without the curatorship and competition of thousands of exhibitions, the 798 Art District cannot acquire the great vitality and numerous visitors from all around the world during the last ten years. In the last decade of the 30 years after the Reforming and Opening Up, 798 Art District exemplified a comparatively free mode that culture pushes forward the development of economy and society which has the avant-garde value and was the Equilibrium development mode of culture and economy in the reforming of 1980s.

In a certain sense, the "Ten Years Poster Exhibition of 798 Art District" is an exhibition about the exhibition history of 798. We cannot say that all the best and most avant-garde exhibitions of Chinese contemporary art in the decade of the new century happened in 798, but indeed, during the ten years when 798 Art District was established and became famous all over the world, numerous important exhibitions with historical value of art and avant-garde value did happened in it. These exhibitions not only composed the story of the growing up of 798 Art District itself, but also composed the 798 exhibition history which is an integral part of the Chinese contemporary art.
