United Airlines announced today that it will launch the daily year-round service between San Francisco International Airport and Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport in Taipei on April 9, 2013.
To celebrate the new flight , the airlines introduces special lucky roundtrip fares that priced at 888 US dollars for United Economy and 3,888 for United Business First.
“we are delighted to offer customers this special fare from San Francisco, our gateway to the Pacific,” said James Mueller, United’s vice president of Atlantic and Pacific Sales. “United has served the Asia-Pacific region for 3o years, and we offer more nonstop flights on more routes to Asia than any other airline.”
The flights will operate by using Boeing 777 aircraft with 269 seats -- eight in United Global First, 40 in United Business First, 104 in United Economy Plus, and 117 in United Economy.
The Taipei-bound flight will depart San Francisco at 1:30 p.m., arriving at 6:10 p.m. The next day. The return flight will depart Taipei at 11:55 a.m., and arrive in San Francisco at 8:15a.m. The same day.
The Taipei service will be the airline’s eighth trans-Pacific route from San Francisco, where United operates more than 25 daily nonstop flights to nearly 20 international destinations.
