Anthony is the English name and pen name of Chinese post-1980s writer Ma Liang. Born in 1984 in Dalian, Liaoning Province, Ma is now a student at the University of Melbourne, majoring in hotel management. In March of 2008, Ma published his first story book "A Journey, through Time, with Anthony," gaining his fame and popularity among Chinese youngsters.

In March 2010, Ma published a new hand-painted story book entitled "Picturing My Love, Honey" together with female Chinese illustrator Echo. The story tells of a bunny boy named Anthony who went on a journey after ending a heart-breaking relationship. Throughout his journey, he makes new friends and finds a new meaning to life and love. Featuring exquisite writing and delightful drawings, the book attracted millions of young fans and sold more than 800,000 copies.
