International media pay high attention to CPC Congress (2)

Russia's mainstream media, including Interfax, Vesti, NTV, and radio stations Echo Moscow and Voice of Russia, also conducted a wide coverage on the CPC Congress.

In a commentary, the Itar-Tass news agency said the congress is of great importance in ensuring China's continuous prosperity and development.

In Japan, NHK, Kyodo and Jiji news agency also focused on the congress, continuously reporting relevant developments of the event.

South Korea's KBC invited China experts to make an in-depth analysis on the congress. The country's two major newspapers, JoongAng Ilbo and Dong-A Ilbo, published relevant reports on their main pages.

An article, posted on the website of Singapore's Lianhe Zaobao, said the quinquennial political rally, which will decide the next leadership of China and establish fundamental policies for the country's future, is expected to have an far-reaching influence on China and the world at large.

World News, a leading Chinese daily in the Philippines, reviewed China's remarkable achievements in the past decade, saying the world would pay close attention to Hu's keynote speech.

"The 18th National Congress opened today will map out the blueprint for a new period," the newspaper said in an article on its front page.
