Instead of spending a fortune for a traditional Chinese wedding convoy of limos and luxury cars, couple in northeast China’s Shenyang city decided to just bike to their wedding instead. The couple rented 30 shared bikes on street for $4.6 (30 RMB) on September 9, 2017. Photos show the unusual convoy marching on street drew lots of attentions.

The bridegroom considers renting shared bikes a more economical and convenient way for his wedding. The bride and the parents on both sides are open-minded and supportive of the plan.

Traditionally in China, the groom is supposed to pick up the bride and take her to the site of the wedding ceremony. In the past, couples have been seen to hire out luxury vehicles to make that important journey.
