Xi, Egyptian president call for stronger voice of Global South

CAIRO, Sept. 2 (Xinhua) -- Chinese President Xi Jinping and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi stressed the need to amplify the voice of the Global South, according to a joint statement issued Wednesday.
In the statement, the two heads of state voiced their support for the right of developing countries to participate in global political and economic decision-making in a fair and balanced manner.
They are also committed to enhancing the role of emerging markets and developing countries in the international order.
During Xi's state visit to Egypt, the two countries released the joint statement on further deepening their comprehensive strategic partnership.
