Xi, Egyptian president welcome expansion of bilateral currency swap

CAIRO, Sept. 2 (Xinhua) -- Chinese President Xi Jinping and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi welcomed the renewal of a bilateral local currency swap agreement and the expansion of the swap amount, said a joint statement on Wednesday.

During Xi's state visit to Egypt, the two countries released the joint statement on further deepening their comprehensive strategic partnership.
