Xi, Egyptian president agree to boost use of local currencies in trade, investment

CAIRO, Sept. 2 (Xinhua) -- Chinese President Xi Jinping and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi agreed to strengthen the use of local currencies in trade and investment, said a joint statement released on Wednesday.
In the statement, the two heads of state encouraged more trade and investment settlement in the currencies of the two countries.
During Xi's state visit to Egypt, the two countries released the joint statement on further deepening their comprehensive strategic partnership.
