Working group dispatched after quake hits southwest China's Sichuan

BEIJING, June 29 (Xinhua) -- After a 5.5-magnitude earthquake struck Gaoxian County in southwest China's Sichuan Province, the office of the State Council earthquake relief headquarters and the Ministry of Emergency Management have dispatched a working group to the quake-hit area to guide relief and rescue efforts.
The authorities have also activated a Level-IV national emergency response for the earthquake.
According to the China Earthquake Networks Center, the earthquake occurred at 0:12 a.m. Monday (Beijing Time) with a depth of 6 km.
Thirteen people sustained minor injuries as of 3:30 a.m. Monday, according to local authorities.
