NEW YORK, Dec. 28 (Xinhua) -- One person was killed and another critically injured after two helicopters collided midair in the eastern U.S. state of New Jersey on Sunday.
The collision happened at about 11:25 a.m. local time, when the Hammonton Fire Department and assisting agencies responded to an aviation-related incident report, local media quoted Hammonton Police Chief Kevin Friel as saying.
Video from the scene showed one helicopter spinning rapidly before crashing to the ground.
Police and fire crews extinguished flames that engulfed one of the helicopters.
The Federal Aviation Administration will investigate the crash, Friel said.
