Vietnam reaffirms adherence to one-China policy

HANOI, Nov. 27 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam has reaffirmed its consistent and clear stance on recent tensions related to China and Japan in the Taiwan Strait, emphasizing that its position is based on the one-China policy, spokesperson of the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs Pham Thu Hang said on Thursday.
Hang said that Vietnam believes that peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait are vital, and encourages all relevant parties to contribute to maintaining peace, stability, and development in the region and globally.
