Over 50,000 Afghan refugees return from Iran in past month

KABUL, Oct. 25 (Xinhua) -- More than 50,000 Afghan refugees have returned from Iran to their homeland Afghanistan in the past month, reported the state-run news agency Bakhtar on Wednesday.
In the past month, a total of 57,382 Afghan refugees have returned after years of stay in neighboring Iran, the report said.
A few days ago more than 5,100 Afghan refugees returned from neighboring Pakistan.
More than 2.5 million Afghan refugees have been living in Pakistan, and the same number in Iran, who were people fleeing foreign invasions and conflicts in Afghanistan over the past four decades.
Reportedly, more than 200,000 Afghan refugees have returned from Pakistan and Iran in the past year.
