The 2019 China International Business Environment Forum and the Press Conference for the Assessment Report on Chinese Cities’ Business Environment Investment were held in Beijing on the afternoon of July 2. Changsha was rated as a model city in China for building an international business environment. Liuyang was listed as a demonstration county-level city in this regard.

Changsha Vice Mayor Qiu Jixing attended the awarding ceremony and delivered a speech. Leaders of the Changsha Development and Reform Commission and the Changsha Coordination Center for Business Environment Optimization participated in closed-door government-enterprise talks on business environment.

The event was jointly organized by the Global Times and the China International Chamber of Commerce for the Private Sector.

Representatives from cities like Changsha, Chengdu, and Wuhan made speeches during the event. Dozens of city representatives discussed urban business environment reform and construction within the current global economic structure, as well as policy trends in various cities concerning environments of market investment, government services, scientific research and innovation, talents, and legal guarantee.

The list of representative cities and outstanding enterprises contributing to the construction of an international business environment was announced at the press conference. These cities and enterprises were selected based on a big data survey made by the Public Opinion Data Center of the Global Times.
