On May 31, the Chinese embassy in Cambodia announced the winners of a short video contest which asked participants to make a short film about the outcomes of the Lancang-Mekong Cooperation (LMC).

The competition was organized by the Chinese embassy, in collaboration with the China-Cambodia Friendship Radio.

Participants created one-minute videos about how the Lancang-Mekong mechanism has helped the economic and social development of the sub-region over the past three years, and how the positive outcomes benefit people living in the member countries.

A total of 15 participants received awards during the ceremony, including Yeu Chantha from Cambodia.

Chantha said that LMC brought tangible benefits to his country, one of the six countries along the Lancang-Mekong River.

He said he felt honored to record the Cambodia-China friendship and LMC achievements with his lens.

Chinese Ambassador Wang Wentian attended the ceremony and expressed his congratulations to all the winners, saying that many of the videos are from a unique perspective and bear deep affection for LMC.
