| Chinese research vessel and icebreaker Xuelong, or "Snow Dragon," recently arrived at Zhongshan Station for the country's 33rd scientific expedition to Antarctica. Zhongshan Station was established in the Larsemann Hills of Antarctica on Feb. 26, 1989. The station, 12,553 kilometers from Beijing, now has 15 buildings with advanced telecommunication facilities, cozy accommodations for visiting scientists and comprehensive scientific labs.
