On October 18, 2016 Tencent Qcloud Xi'an, hosted by Tencent and the Administrative Committee of Xi'an Hi-tech Industries Development Zone (XDZ), organized by Qcloud and Xi'an Software Park Development Center, took place in Xi'an. Numerous VC and cloud computing elitists gathered in Xi'an to discuss how cloud computing helps Xi'an develop the "Digital Silk Road" and occupy the commanding height of "Belt and Road" development.
Before the summit, Zhao Hongzhuan, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Xi'an Municipal Committee and Secretary of the Party Work Committee of XDZ, met with a delegation led by Qiu Yuepeng, Vice President of Tencent and Head of Qcloud. The two sides exchanged ideas on Tencent-Xi'an cooperation.
Previously XDZ and Qcloud had carried out in-depth cooperation in resources, technologies, talents and capital, a Qcloud base had been built in Xi'an Software New City, and Qcloud had provided cloud services with Internet scenarios and thinking to constantly improve the innovation and entrepreneurial ability of Xi'an's enterprises.
