
Members of the Dong ethnic group in Sanjiang Dong Autonomous County, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region celebrated the oil-tea festival on Aug. 6. Festivities included the preparation of oil-tea as well as traditional drama performances. The Dong ethnic group has been drinking oil-tea since the Tang Dynasty, and it has become an important part of their diet. Oil-tea is make from tea leaves, rice, peanuts and vegetables.
