A landscape photographer Tyler Schmitt from Arizona, US, did not pass up the chance to snap the rare tornado, even though he knew it could kill him.
The thrill-seeker was out storm chasing earlier this month when he took these heart-stopping photos in Dodge City, Kansas.
It’s not the first time Tyler has risked his life for the thrill of a storm, either. He was once just 75 yards (68.58 meters) away from tornado to capture the picture.
