A motorcycle that had been modified into a "convertible Porsche" was recently stopped by police as it tried to drive onto an expressway in Zhuhai, Guangdong province, local media reported. The vehicle is currently in the custody of traffic police.
On July 14, the vehicle was spotted on the entrance ramp to Jiangzhu Expressway. Police noticed the vehicle immediately since it was so much smaller than the cars surrounding it. The vehicle also had no license plate.

Upon inquiry, police discovered that the vehicle, which sported a Porsche logo on its hood, was in fact an illegally modified motorcycle. In addition to its makeshift dashboard, steering wheel, pedals and lights, it even had gears. The officer who stopped the vehicle said it was the first time he had ever encountered such a case.
The vehicle's driver explained that he works at a nearby garage and hasn't yet acquired a driver's license. Traffic police intend to further investigate the driver's claims.
