BEIJING, Nov. 15 -- Porsche (China) Motors will recall its Porsche 911 Carrera, Caymen and Boxster models over reports of a flawed lock bracket on the front hood, said China's top quality supervisor on Saturday.
The recall will involve 285 vehicles on the Chinese mainland, including 911 Carrera (2014 and 2015 versions) produced from May 7 to June 16 in 2014; Caymen (2015 version) manufactured on May 26 in 2014; and Boxster (2014 and 2015 versions) produced from May 7 to June 12 in 2014.
Due to the lock bracket issue, the front hoods may pop open, said the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine in a statement.
The recall will start from Nov. 17 and Porsche dealers will replace the faulty parts free of charge.
