Nasa reveals stunning new retro posters recruiting for a trip to the red planet (7)

By Stacy Liberatore (Mail Online)    14:40, June 15, 2016

Creature created colourful space-themed travel posters commissioned by Nasa’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory for the 2016 calendar. The collection is split up into three themes that focus on the Voyager, Saturn’s moon and the red planet

‘Visit Beautiful Southern Enceladus’ reads the poster, with a display of a couple and their pet standing on the icy cosmic body.

The poster even goes so far as to display, ‘Booking tours now’.

‘The discovery of Enceladus’ icy jets and their role in creating Saturn’s E-ring is one of the top findings of the Cassini mission to Saturn,’ wrote Clark.

‘Further Cassini mission discoveries revealed strong evidence of a global ocean and the first signs of potential hydrothermal activity beyond Earth – making this tiny Saturnian moon one of the leading locations in the search for possible life beyond Earth.’

And the final theme that seems so close yet so out of reach is Mars.

The poster is filled with images of rockets, planes and agriculture, insinuating that we finally found evidence that the dust planet is inhabitable.

WHAT ARE THE 3 THEMES OF THE TRAVEL POSTERS?

The Grand Tour: NASA’s Voyager mission took advantage of a once-every-175-year alignment of the outer planets for a grand tour of the solar system.

Enceladus: The discovery of Enceladus’ icy jets and their role in creating Saturn’s E-ring is one of the top findings of the Cassini mission to Saturn.

Mars: NASA’s Mars Exploration Program seeks to understand whether Mars was, is, or can be a habitable world.
