When your car gets stranded in a flood, you have to start thinking about swimming across the street.
Heavy rainfall early Wednesday, June 1, 2016 resulted in serious flooding in downtown Wuhan, central China's Hubei province.
You can see from the car roof the depth of the water after all of the rain, and that means alternative transport methods are badly needed.
People are seen holding umbrellas on the streets of Wuhan, but these umbrellas won't protect legs and shoes as the water level is up to the hips.
