The 14th Beijing International Automotive Exhibition (Auto China 2016) with a total exhibition area of 220, 000 square meters takes place at China International Exhibition Center from April 25 to May 4, 2016. Auto China 2016 showcases 1,179 cars including 112 new-energy cars, 46 concept cars and 112 cars which make their world debut.

Auto China 2016 sees quite a few new-energy cars and connected cars. As for the new-energy cars, visitors can find EH 400 from BAIC Motor Corporation, Tesla's Model 3, BYD's E500 and other latest models.

In addition, cars created by Internet companies have become a highlight at this auto show. For example, LeSee, a concept electric sedan created by LeEco, is set to appear at the show.

Although the new car sales is slowing down in China, the country is still the biggest consumer worldwide, which helps Beijing International Automotive Exhibition and Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition secure a place among all the important auto shows across the world.

However, some new models with homegrown brands such as Zotye Auto, Lifan, Huachen and BAIC bear certain resemblance to the models of multinational auto makers. Meanwhile, Geely and Chery, two important auto makers in China, have given up resorting to imitation as a way of development; instead, they step on a journey of self-development. Geely is set to release the Geely Emgrand GS while Chery's Tiggo 7 and FV 2030 will meet the public at the show.
