Shimao quarry hotel with minus 80m altitude under construction

SHANGHAI, April 5, 2016 (Xinhua) -- The construction site of a quarry hotel is seen in Songjiang District of Shanghai, east China, April 5, 2016. With an altitude of minus 80 meters, the Shimao quarry hotel is China's first 5-star hotel being built into an abandoned quarry. Estimated to be finished in 2017, the hotel has 370 guest rooms in its 2 underwater storeys, 17 underground storeys and 2 above ground storeys. (Xinhua/Ding Ting)
