TAGUIG CITY, April 5, 2016 (Xinhua) -- A Filipino World War II veteran offers a rose on the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier as he participates in the ceremony marking the start of the Philippine Veterans Week in Taguig City, the Philippines, April 5, 2016. The Philippine Veterans Week will recognize the remaining 9,500 Filipino World War II veterans, 45 of which will be honored with awards by the Philippine government for their service during the war time.
