Yu Bin, born in the city of Panzhihua in southwest China's Sichuan province, is a 33-year-old woman with cerebral palsy. She is also an excellent and inspiring novelist.
Yu started to learn literacy at the age of 14 with the help of her parents. She began writing articles when she was 18 years old. After several years of practice, she became a member of the Writers Association of Sichuan Province in 2013.
Sitting in front of the computer, lost in thought, Yu begins to tap at the keyboard. She types with just the index finger of her right hand. Using this method, she finished her full-length novel, Gray Star, in three years.

When Yu was only 3 months old, she contracted a serious case of pneumonia. Even though doctors saved her life, they also told her she was unlikely to live for more than thirteen years.
Fortunately, Yu's parents never gave up hope. They massaged their daughter every day and ultimately disproved the prediction that she would live for no more than 13 years.
Many people are surprised that someone with cerebral palsy has such an extraordinary mind and can write such beautiful words.
