CHICAGO, Feb. 21 -- At least six people have been shot dead in a random serial shooting in Kalamazoo City in the southern part of the U.S. state of Michigan late Saturday night.
Kalamazoo County Undersheriff Paul Matyas told local media that several shootings happened in the county and in the city of Kalamazoo, and "they all appear to be related."
A total of nine people were shot in three locations. Besides the six killed, two are in critical condition, and one is in serious condition.
"What it looks like is we have someone just driving around, finding people and shooting them dead in their tracks," Matyas said.
The suspect, believed to be a white man in his 50s, is still at large. Police are looking for a dark blue or silver Chevrolet HHR, and have launched a manhunt for the shooter.
