In Washington DC and Los Angeles, the FBI is increasing the number of agents at its 24-hour command centers for the year-end celebrations, including the annual Rose Bowl football game and parade in Pasadena, California, which drew 700,000 participants last year.

‘Though we know of no intelligence that is both specific and credible at this time of a plot by terrorist organizations to attack the homeland, the reality is terrorist-inspired individuals have conducted, or attempted to conduct, attacks in the United States this year,’ a bulletin put out by the US Department of Homeland Security on December 16 read.
