Exhibition of traditional theatre forms across China
The colored porcelain plaques depicting scenes in the Romance of the Western Chamber are on display in the Nanjing Museum on Oct. 29, 2015. These plaques were made in private kilns in Jingdezhen, east China's Jiangxi province during the reign of Emperor Kangxi in the Qing dynasty.

Nanjing Museum held an art exhibition of traditional theatre forms across China on Oct. 29, 2015. It is the first exhibition focusing on the differences between popular opera forms in the southern part of China and northern part of China. More than 200 items related to the performance of opera forms from across China were on display. By watching the performance of artists or 3D films, people in the museum can get to know the characteristics or development paths of different opera forms in China.(Photo/Xinhua)
