World Crowdfunding Conference opens in Guiyang

The first World Crowdfunding Conference kicks off Saturday in Guiyang, capital of southwest China's Guizhou province.

With the theme of "entrepreneurship, innovation, entrepreneur", the forum aims to build a platform for communication for dealers, service providers, angel investors, entrepreneurs and innovators. The conference includes a main forum and more than 40 theme forums dedicated to various industries and a number of international crowdfunding forums, attracting nearly 500 crowdfunding platforms from home and abroad. A total of 1,500 crowdfunding projects and nearly 10,000 investors attend the conference.

During the conference, a total of 100 projects will be selected as the projects recommended by the World Crowdfunding Conference, which will be traded online after the conference. The trade volume is expected to reach 10 billion yuan.

Guiyang, a city among China’s first batch of pilot cities for the mobile finance industry, aims to build a “world crowdfunding capital”. This May, China’s first crowdfunding finance exchange opened in Guiyang, and there are currently 21 projects listed for trade.
