World's largest high-altitude glass platform to begin service in Chongqing

The glass platform atop a cliff in Wulong scenic spot will be put into service during the National Day Golden Week in southwest China's Chongqing City.

With the total area of 286 square meters, it can accommodate 300 people at the same time and becomes the largest high-altitude glass platform in the world.

"According to the data of the factory, every piece of glass can bear 3 tons of load with an area of 6 square meters. Through our test, one piece of glass can bear 10 tons of weight. And we can definitely promise the safety," said one of the workers.
