Praire nomadism is a kind of culture which occupies an important position in Chinese culture. Habahe County in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region is warm in the winter and cool in the summer, which has always been favored by the nomads. Local Kazak herdsmen have lived a nomadic life until today.

The quarterly migration of the Kazak nationality is particularly spectacular. With the change of seasons, Kazak herdsmen carrying their children and relatives by horse, with camels and the drove migrate to wherever water and grass are available. Horses become an indispensable part of Kazak's life. As time passes, the Kazak nationality has been reputed for "people on horseback".

Nowadays, the historical and cultural treasury of Habahe County and even the whole Altay Prairie are opening to the world gradually.
