China strongly condemned a terrorist attack that happened in Jazeera Palace Hotel on July 26, 2015 in Mogadishu, the capital of Somalia, which killed at least 15 people including a security guard at China's embassy.

Al-Shabaab has claimed responsibility. The terrorist outrages must be condemned strongly.

China has lodged representations in Mogadishu, urging the the Somalian side take all necessary measures to treat the wounded and ensure safety of China's organizations and people in Somalia. This terrorist attack once again reminds the international community that more pressing attention should be paid to the safety and stability of Somalia and the whole region.

Terrorism is a common threat to the whole world. Combatting terrorism is the responsibility of every country. The task of African countries in the joint anti-terrorism is arduous. Every country should actively carry out international anti-terrorism cooperation, make joint efforts in financial support, personnel training and information sharing instead of just putting countries such as Somalia onto the list of  "failed countries". Only in this way can we effectively prevent the spread of a terrorist threat in Africa.
