At least 14 regions in China have raised the minimum wage for 2015, with the minimum wage in Shenzhen and Shanghai exceeding $320 (2,000 yuan) per month.
The monthly minimum wage in Shenzhen is $330 (2,030 yuan), and the monthly minimum wage in Shanghai is $325 (2,020 yuan). For a part-time employee, the standard of hourly minimum wage in Beijing has increased to 18.7 yuan, which is the highest in the country.
On July 1, Sichuan, Inner Mongolia announced to raise their minimum wage standards. In Sichuan, the monthly minimum wage has been adjusted to 1,500 yuan. For a part-time employee, the minimum wage has been increased to 15.7 yuan an hour.
The monthly minimum wage standard in Inner Mongolia increases 9.3 percent this year, and part-time working hour minimum wage rises from 12.2 yuan to 13.3 yuan.
The 14 regions are Hunan, Hainan, Tibet, Tianjin, Shenzhen, Shandong, Shaanxi, Beijing, Guangdong,Shanghai,Gansu, Shanxi, Sichuan and Inner Mongolia.
