A couple brings hope to a village

Chen Hongquan and his wife Ming Hongyan have been teaching in a village primary school for 32 years. After Chen graduated from a secondary normal school in 1982, in the light of lack of teachers in his village, Chen made up his mind to be a Chinese teacher in his hometown. Following Chen's step, Ming Hongyan became a mathematics teacher. "If there is only one student in the school, I will stay in the school as well," says Ming.
