HONG KONG Aug. 4 -- Hong Kong's Chief Executive CY Leung expressed his condolence to Yunnan earthquake victims on Monday.
A 6.5-magnitude earthquake jolted Ludian County, Zhaotong City in southwest China's Yunnan Province at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center.
Leung said the Hong Kong's Disaster Relief Fund Advisory Committee has approached several rescue organizations, and some of them have planned to allocate funds to the committee to assist Yunnan's rescue and relief operation after the strong earthquake.
