Singaporean President Visits Suzhou City

Singaporean President S.R. Nathan and his party visited Suzhou city in east China's Jiangsu Province on September 21.

The president met with Hui Liangyu, secretary of the Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC).

Nathan, who is on a state visit to China, visited the Suzhou Industrial Park, a model development park jointly funded by China and Singapore. He was briefed on the development of the park and visited a US-funded company in the park.

Both Hui and Nathan described the park a success symbolic of the good relations between China and Singapore. They said they will continue to support the park.
